The Quiet Luxury of Water

Japanese Head Spa in Thun

A ritual of warmth, water and mindful touch – for the scalp, the hair and a quiet mind.

The water ritual

I — Philosophy

Beauty begins
at the root.

In Japan, the scalp is not an afterthought. It is the origin.

Caring for it has long been considered the foundation of beautiful hair and inner balance. The head spa combines gentle deep cleansing, an unhurried massage of the head, neck and shoulders, and nourishing care with warm water and steam – an hour in which time stands still.

水Inspired by Japanese bathing culture

02

Unwind

03

Nourish

Warm water, steam and selected care bring shine and lightness.

Where water flows, the mind grows still.

What happens during a head spa?

After a short conversation we gently cleanse your scalp, massage your head, neck and shoulders and care for your hair with warm water and steam. You lie comfortably and fully clothed on a treatment bed throughout.

Who is the ritual for?

For anyone who wants to slow down – women and men, every hair length and hair type.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No. Simply come as you are. After the treatment we gently blow-dry your hair. If you would like elaborate styling afterwards, allow a little extra time.

Are there reasons not to have a treatment?

If you have injuries or inflammation of the scalp, have had surgery in the head or neck area, or are pregnant, please talk to us or your doctor first.

How do I book?

Once MIYŌRA opens, you can book your appointment online. People on the waitlist get access first.

What if I cannot make it?

You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment.

Where exactly is the studio?

In the centre of Thun. We will announce the exact address together with the opening date.
